ARMY SNIPER ASSOCIATION

aBOUT uS

The Army Sniper Association was formed by instructors and graduates of the United States Army Sniper School to foster a sense of community, brotherhood and esprit de corps within the sniper community. In the intervening years, the Army Sniper Association has grown and expanded its membership to include graduates of other accredited military sniper schools as well as accredited law enforcement programs of instruction.
The Army Sniper Association continues to expand its mission by providing direct support to the United States Army Sniper School and the International Sniper Competition. The association also supports other sniper-related events, such as the annual Liberty Bell shoot. We  strive to provide immediate financial aid for members killed or wounded in action or experiencing medical emergencies.  We also offer educational assistance in the form of scholarships for the qualifying children of our members. Additionally, we participate in other charitable endeavors.

OUR MISSIONS

Everything we do is geared toward supporting the sniper community as a whole. We are a small fraternity of unique warriors. We strive to create a sense of camaraderie, cooperation, brotherhood, and esprit de corps while working toward common goals. We also emphasize the specific missions listed below.

US Army Sniper School

SUPPORT THE US ARMY SNIPER SCHOOL

We strive to provide direct support to the US Army Sniper School through a cooperative effort with the students and staff. We provide material support, plaques, and awards as well as merchandise for top-performing students through the generous donations of our sponsors and our own fundraising efforts. This formal relationship is solidified by a written agreement between the Army Sniper Association and the command staff of the Maneuver Center of Excellence.

SPONSOR AND SUPPORT THE INTERNATIONAL SNIPER COMPETITION

We provide many levels of support for the annual US Army International Sniper Competition. We have a staff of volunteers that assist operations on the ground for the actual competition and related events. We arrange for vendors and sponsors who generously fund this event and provide prize packages to the top-performing teams. We coordinate vendor and sponsor activities to include an expo and vendor range day. The association also provides for a banquet and awards ceremony to recognize participants and sponsors.

PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

The SSG Eric Caban Fallen Sniper Fund was established several years ago to provide emergency financial assistance to the families of our fallen warriors. in the new year, the fund will be called the SSG Eric Caban Sniper Care Program.  The mission will be to focus on a specialized group of wounded, ill, and injured service members, as well as their families. With a smaller target population and our national membership, we can assist these individuals in the manner that they truly deserve.
SFC Earl “Stan” Ellis US Army Sniper School

PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE

SFC Earl “Stan” Ellis was instrumental in the establishment of the US Army Sniper School and he devoted his life and professional career to snipers and the art of shooting. In October 2021, Stan lost his battle with cancer. We are pleased to announce the formation of the SFC Earl S. Ellis Memorial Scholarship. We will begin funding the scholarship fund and anticipate making awards to the first recipients for the graduating class of 2023.
